TL;DR: Bought a vehicle that developed numerous defects within months. The dealership repeatedly passed me around and refused to honor Quebec’s legal warranty. Even a higher-level representative was unfamiliar with basic features of the car, and they posted false information about my deductible in a public reply — which I disproved with photo receipts. I will continue to update my review as the situation progresses so that potential clients know what to expect.

I bought a used vehicle from Fichault Kia and have had non-stop problems since. The car has developed over 15 defects in under 20,000 km — including brake, suspension, and electrical issues, plus the car even shut off once while driving

When I picked it up, there was bird droppings on the hood and small dents they claimed were caused by snow removal. I’ve had to replace the brake switch twice, pay out of pocket for multiple suspension diagnostics, and cover extra costs that my extended warranty was supposed to handle. I was told the deductible would be $50, but I’ve been charged $150–$200 several times instead

During one repair they broke another part and kept my car for extra days — they paid for it, but I still went without my car. They even charged me about $13 for a screw I never authorized. Whenever I mention the warranty, the head mechanic gets defensive or rude

I’ve reported several problems right after purchase, including a blown tweeter speaker that startled my passenger, and they simply referred me elsewhere instead of fixing it. Despite all this, the dealership refuses to take responsibility or offer a refund under Quebec’s legal warranty

I’ve rewritten this review for clarity since my previous one didn’t fully explain the issues I’ve experienced.
Poor service, poor accountability, and major safety concerns. I wouldn’t recommend buying a car here.

The dealership’s reply contains multiple inaccuracies and omissions. I’ve uploaded photos of my receipts showing I paid $57, $100, and $175 for warranty-related visits — all higher than the $50 deductible I was guaranteed when I bought the car. That’s three separate times, not “once,” as they claim.

I’ve also attached a photo of the condition of my car on arrival (with timestamp) of the bird refuse on my hood, as well as the legal warranty provision copy they provided at the time of purchase

I’ve also had five total garage visits (plus additional trips to the dealership) totaling over three weeks of downtime in less than a year and a half. Many of these issues were reported shortly after purchase, including dents, electrical faults, and a blown tweeter speaker, yet I was repeatedly referred elsewhere instead of being helped.

It’s concerning that the dealership continues to respond publicly on Google instead of contacting me directly to resolve these safety and warranty problems. This kind of behavior shows a clear lack of accountability and professionalism, and potential customers deserve to know how they handle complaints. I said it before and i will end this review on the same note, Poor service, poor accountability, and major safety concerns. Wouldn’t recommend buying a car from here. Take my experience and learn from it

Update Nov 11th, 2025:
I visited the dealership again due to yet another engine issue. I spoke with a higher-level representative about my ongoing problems. He claimed another mechanic was responsible for the $175 warranty deductible instead of $50, even though it was part of the dealership’s warranty. During the visit, I had to explain the Smart Trunk feature, which he said he had never heard of and could not explain why it has never worked. When I requested a full refund, he ended the conversation and refused to shake my hand or acknowledge my attempt to resolve the matter amicably. This marks my third dealership visit for unresolved legal warranty issues and the conversation we had was unproductive.

I was actually in the passenger seat when the tweeter started smoking and sounding weird it happened out of nowhere while we were driving it scared me.
Honestly I can’t believe they would sell a car with so many issues and act like it’s normal and not want to take it back
I’ve been in the car when the brakes pop too and sometimes we almost scream bc it looks like we’re about to get into an accident with the person in front of us
It’s very stressful to drive and the dealership keeps brushing off our problems

Sabrina took care of our order and follow up and was super helpful from day 1 until delivery! A process that span 1 year (the current long wait times for the specific model we wanted)
Leasing/Financing was extremely well handled by Johanne who made sure we had the best options.

Purchased a car at Fichault kia in 2013, overall the service was ok, not the same experience this time. Many, so called little errors, as stated by the owner....ummmm Incorrect information given more than once from more than 3 of their staff. Many excuses and no apology from owner. Was told by owner.. "oh
well it's just a few mistakes what more can I say.' Oufff....that's horrible customer service.... especially when someone just purchased a new car from this dealership.. We didn't buy 200$ worth of groceries from them, we bought a 30000$ car... Hardly chump change......Customer service should be at a much higher level.... Their few mistakes cost us more in the price of the car as well as we were told we would get winter tires, and, nope that was another small error too. Oh yes everyone is polite and smiley, but unfortunately incompetant and don't know their own products...the kia cars, and what those entail. I Won't recommend this dealership to anyone we know, and I will definitely not return to them.....so dissatisfied with this dealership.

I have nothing but good things to say about this dealer. We bought a used Lincoln from Austin. He was very accommodating. We came down from Ottawa test drove it . Went home with the same day. Upon doiNg the Ontario safety it needed a wheel bearing. I called Austin he immediately sent us a check for the repairs. That’s what you call service. I will definitely look there if I ever need another used car. I highly recommend.
