I just contacted Emma on Facebook regarding a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander that Riendeau Hyundai had for sale. There was only one picture on line so I asked her if she can send me more pictures as I lived in Ottawa and I would like to see the options before making a trip to Ste-Julie to take a look at the car this is what she replied to me "we juste keep our inventory for details in qc sorry have a good day". Those are her exact words. Im not sure why Money from Ottawa is not the same as Money from QC but I feel like that was very discriminatory and not at all right. A business should not see province, race, ethnicity or anything else. A purchase is a purchase. I wright this in the hopes that other customer don't have the same experience that I had.
I had a bad experience with them . I signed the car lease agreement with The salesman Yannik with the car price was 27330.49¥ buy back price was 15358.20¥. Lease 2weeks payment is 170.00¥. I paid 250¥ deposit on 2021,June . After the new car came in the store , i went to signed contract with Benoit. but he somehow increased the price that I did not know . As lease monthly payment was same , but buy back price was increased around 680¥ that I did not know . Now I wanted to buy car after ending the lease and found out price difference . Mathieu the financial director denying it . So now I have to file a complaint report to the Quebec consumer department to deal with this issue .very bad experience with them .
Aside from a few system errors, (computers), , Service was excellent and greatly appreciated!!!
It happens...
Be careful and make sure that the job is done before leaving the lot with your car, they did my brakes, didn't tighten one of my caliper, it came loose and broke the break line along with giving me a big scare, a lose caliper in a wheel will make the car hard to control and jumping. Thank God it was just before hitting the highway and it was just me and not my wife driving with the family.
Talked to the service manager and the general manager and they both told me, we're sorry but these things happen. I'm sorry too it happened.
They paid the towing, lend me a car while they fixed the caliper and my break line and offer to pay for the brake job they botched, which seems fair for any ole mistake, maybe I'm wrong but feels like not very much after putting my life at risk for negligence on a brake job... but they say they asked other dealership and their corporate lawyer and apparently, that's standard procedure.
I still don't know what I'll do about it, feels wrong that something like this happens and in the big scheme of things, nothing much happened, the mecanic was suspended for a day, it cost them a rental car, a towing and a brake job. Doesn't seem right, not much of a consequence for something that could have been disastrous.
Anyway, stay safe out there.
UPDATE: Thank you for your response.
I agree that no one meant to do anything wrong. Loosening someone's caliper on purpose would constitute a criminal act, so it's good that this was not premeditated. However, I believe this doesn't exempt you from professional responsabilities.
I could argue that offering to simply fix your mistake and cover the initial brake maintenance is unreasonable when considering that your mistake could have killed your customer.
On the other hand, I am convinced that my request is rather reasonable considering that I could potentially sue Hyundai Riendeau for much more. This was never my intention.
Somehow, this whole situation doesn't seem right. All of this feels like business as usual, as if messing up like this is "normal" and should have so light repercussions, unless legal actions be taken.
UPDATE: I find it interesting that last week there's been 37 five stars reviews, not one 4, 5 stars every time. It's almost as if within the span of about a week there would have been a campaign to make it like that 1 star I gave never happened. I'm sure that these people got a great experience but campaigns can go both ways.
UPDATE: Wow, forget 37 five stars, 103 now in the span of a couple of weeks... happy to see that your campaign is doing so well. I wonder how many people actually look at the lowest score instead of an inifinite amount of empty five star reviews. As of yet, I haven't even received what you offered me as a counter offer to my suggested option of compensation. It sure would seem that my value as a customer isn't worth much if anything at all. And finally, the definition of nonchalance isn't taking the trouble to listen to my wife and discuss with her, it's looking at potentially causing her husband's demise casually as something that just happens. It's interesting when asked: What would you do if it happened to you? What if you went to the shop and they messed up your brakes? I do hope you don't get to find out.
UPDATE: Still no news on them making good on what they claim to be fair...
If you are outside of Quebec, don't expect to be able to do business with this dealership. I recently was in the market for a used car and a salesperson at this dealership informed me that the owner has a policy not to sell cars to people out of province. I emailed the owner to ask for an exception and inform him that I purchased a car from Gabriel Group (large Quebec dealer) 7 years ago and had a great experience. Nevertheless, I never heard from them. I would not recommend doing business with this dealership.
In the end I purchased a second car from Gabriel Group and had a wonderful experience. They made the transaction easy. If you are from outside of Quebec, look at Gabriel Group and you won't be disappointed.
Nous avons conclu un accord et ils se sont retirés. Ils m'ont fait perdre mon temps. Trouver un autre concessionaire.
After spending 5 days working on a deal and coming to an agreement, they backed out of the deal because I am from Ontario. They knew from the first day when I contacted them that I was from Ontario. They wasted my time and I had told other dealers that I was no longer interested. I sent multiple pieces of identification and offered to pay with a certified draft from my bank, no chance it is a scam and they still not honour the deal.
Bon service de William Berube :)
Excellent service from Brenden. Leasing my first Hyundai - I was with Honda for last 15 years. Took the time to explain everything in detail. Very patient. Not pushy. Looking forward to doing business with Riendeau Hyundai and my new sales rep Brenden.
Nice people but issues with communication and transmission of information. Came first time and was told insurance was one price for 72 months, came back again to finalize sale, they changed the plan to more expensive version and decreased it to 60 months. Not what we wanted or agreed upon. They omitted key information the first time we came so when we went back the price changed significantly. The car came out and there were new dents and paint chips. They tried to gaslight us into believing all those scuffs and dents were on the car when we tried it, they were not. I believe that we would have noticed a significant crack in the windshield, was the size of a 2$ coin... not little. On top of that made us wait 30min because the person who had their appointment before us came in. But he was 2h late for his appointment and we were 10 mins early for ours... And he came in after us.
Not happy.
Won't go back...
Great dealership with excellent service, and also who appreciate the history of Hyundai and their vehicles. Lots of parking and inventory in this very busy and convenient area.
