Had to take my truck back several times and they didn't fix the problem, even though their senior master tech was working on it. they charged a lot every time, didn't give me a break at all. This is the last ford I'll ever buy and last time I get it serviced here

I had car trouble at the most inconvenient time and at a last ditch attempt to save my car and my holiday, called this dealership 5 minutes after they closed. They answered anyways and were able to help me out the next day, even though they were closed for holidays. The manager Scott and Service Manager Kristi were amazing to work with, as I am sure the whole team is. They went above and beyond what I expected and honestly saved our Christmas holiday. I showed up a stranger and left a friend.

When our starter would not, we were stranded in Golden. My husband was biking by the Ford dealer on a Sunday, just so we would know where it was, when he met Scott. Even though they were closed, he was so friendly and helpful. They couldn't get the part for a couple days, but tried to do everything they could to get us out of town in a timely manner. We needed a new battery for a key fob as we were travelling through Golden and could not get the car to start. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by friendly people. They quickly changed the battery for us and charged us nothing, then offered us coffee before we left. Great experience!
So far so good! Very helpful sales team worked with me while overseas to get the deal done on the vehicle I searched high and low for AND for the price I wanted! If my new Bronco is actually waiting at the airport for me when I land they really deserve 10 stars! EDIT: They took advantage of the fact I bought it sight unseen and depended on them to be truthful when I asked if there was any damage inside or out. They neglected to tell me the paint on my 2022 vehicle was in TERRIBLE shape (also the fenders were all beat up from rock chips) and refused to help cover any costs of rectifying it. I would never buy here again.
Returning to Victoria from a wedding in Alberta, we experienced a loss of power and limped into the Kicking Horse Ford Dealership in Golden. We were immediately impressed with the warm and caring attitude of the management, staff and service workers. It required ordering in parts for our vehicle but we were set up with a loaner car and directed to a great place to stay, great places to eat, and great things to do in and around Golden when we became unexpected vacationers there. By the time our vehicle was repaired, everyone there had become our "Kicking Horse family". We have nothing but gratitude for these amazing people and highly recommend Kicking Horse Ford Dealership.
On our camping trip to Golden BC, on Friday July the5th the truck (F-150) broke down at the campsite.
I called Ford roadside assistance and started a claim.
Next day Saturday I called Kicking Horse Ford and spoke with the manager Scott, he was very helpful after we explained the situation we are in. He provided us with a loner car right away, so we were able to drive around over the weekend.
On Monday the truck was towed into the shop and they ordered the parts. On Thursday the parts arrived and the truck was fixed in no time.
The whole team from Kicking Horse Ford was nothing but friendly and supporting and an open ear for any questions we had.

After we broke down on the highway outside of Golden on a Thursday evening heading from Kelowna to Edmonton (via Radium), we needed to find someone who could help us get our vehicle assessed and fixed. Kicking Horse Ford made it work to look at the vehicle the next day when every other option in town was quoting 2 weeks just to get us in. From then on, they were nothing but kind, friendly, and supportive of our situation, even going so far as to let us drive a used vehicle for a portion of our unexpected stay waiting on parts. Being quite possibly the “only option” could allow some businesses and their people to take advantage of the situation and the team at Kicking Horse Ford are the polar opposite of that. They were honest, kind, empathetic, and truly provided amazing customer service. If I was ever in the area and in need of vehicle help again, they would be my first and only call. Thanks to the team there for helping get out family back on the road and home safely. Your kindness meant a tremendous amount to us.

I arrived with a flat tire after 4.30pm on a beautiful Friday afternoon. My spare needed to be removed from underneath my vehicle, flat removed , flat placed underneath vehicle and spare put on, They did all of this with a smile and even stayed late to get it done. I live a few hours away in another city and use the Ford dealer there. The difference on how I feel like I'm bothering them there and the good feeling I had when I left Kicking Horse Ford. Was day and night.
Stopped in before heading home as we smelled transmission oil. Were told that we would be charged for a full diagnostic. $281 later only to be told that “yes the tech confirmed your suspicions of a leak” but couldn’t tell us where and topped it up. No other diagnostics were ran, no code readers or anything. $281 to be told “yep, you’re right” for 10 minutes of work seems insane when they should have done the whole work up at least! Not impressed at all
We stopped here a week ago as a drop in because our passenger window went down and would not go back up, we had a long travel back to the Okanagan and couldn’t do it with our window open. The staff in the service centre were amazing, even though they were fully booked they recognized our urgency and took our vehicle in and managed to get the window up and taped it so we could get home safely where we could get it fully repaired. The best part was they never charged us anything! Wow who does that these days, nothing is free! Well this dealership went above and beyond and went out of their way to help people passing through their community. Hats off to the management and staff. You truly made our day!
Scratched/scuffed my roof panel, left all 4 latches undone which if I did not catch the roof panel would have blown off my bronco, Forgot to put my center caps on wheels. A trim piece that had a gap and needed replacement still had a large gap after replacement and now the trim piece that is behind it that was flush now also has a gap. Damaged my vehicles top, came out worse then it went in for trim replacement and the cherry on top was asking me after all this to give a 5 star rating. Beyond frustrated and disappointed. I will never go back.
So much gratitude for the team at KHF! Our car died and left us in a real pickle. Stephanie was SO helpful in guiding us through the leasing process on a new Bronco, and happily answered our million questions. Robin made the financing process a breeze. We had to wait a bit longer than expected for our new car to come in, and they set us up with a loaner in the meantime, which was hugely helpful for us. When our vehicle did arrive, the team set us up for success in all ways.
Leasing a vehicle was a huge decision for us and we felt super supported through the entire process. Very glad we decided to stay local and do it all through KHF, and we will happily recommend the team to anyone that asks. Cheers!
I wound up in Golden without any washer fluid as it had frozen overnight Before I left for my trip. I’m headed from Sylvan Lake Alberta to Kelona BC. Filled up with winter fluid, but evidently it was not smart enough to run it through the lines. Terry was absolutely amazing and spent 20 minutes of his day hosing down the inside of my vehicle to help warm up those lines so that I could have washer fluid driving through the mountains with the snow and slush on the road. He then refused any form of payment! Thank you so much Terry for helping restore some of my faith in humanity, being such a stand up gentleman and getting me on the road as quickly as you could!! It is so appreciated!
While visiting Fairmont Hot Springs recently we had an issue with our vehicle. Kicking Horse Ford service was awesome! Checked our vehicle, confirmed it was safe to drive and did it no charge! Be sure to get them to do any service work you need done. They were friendly, professional and very accommodating!
The team made a professional impression at first. We didn't need an $89 full car inspection they were going to sell us, just an oil change and a quick look at our fuel tank. This quick look ended up being more expensive than the full oil change. The worst part was that during this "look" the filler neck was ripped off the tank and we were told nothing about it. The estimate for a new tank was $1,000 more expensive than another shop in Golden.
Maybe good salesmen here, but astronomical prices and poor customer service. We were told nothing up front about inspection costs. Instead, they tried to put our signature on a document from the day before so they could have consent to the cost.
We looked for another repair shop in town...

Went and got a oil change done and dropped my car off at 1:30 and didn't leave til 4:45. They got the colour of my car wrong and charged extra for an inspection and a tire rotation... most ford dealerships it's included in the service not a extra $89. Also they said I have a slow leak in the rear of the motor didn't even tell me what kind of fluid it was and it needed to be diagnosed further for another $180. I won't be personally going back. The people were nice just the service could he better
What a friendly bunch! I called to ask about parts availability and was warmly greeted by Robin. She transferred me over to Kevin in Parts and he too was very helpful - even though they didn't have the part I was looking for.
It's so nice to talk to smaller dealers like this - something that is rare with the mega conglomerates that are prevalent nowadays.
At first it has been a great experience to buy a car from them, super nice sales team.
However they don't look to be mechanic for a penny. Can't fix many thing themselves and when they say they can the price is astronomical, you still have to pay the "troubleshooting" despite telling them what was wrong at the time to drop off your car.
Thank you for fitting us in on a very busy Friday. Staff helped us with our brake issue while we were traveling through Golden. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Back on the road within 8 hours. Thanks again Terry and Robin.

This review is not for today, this is for what happened on last year from this Ford dealer, on that day I paid over $250 to replace a car air filter which took me waiting for around 2 hours based on I have an appointment already from here, further more I wrote an one star review and fully described what happened that no one gave me any response over 6 weeks, this is the reach out for you guys and you don’t need to feel sorry, because this is what you deserve.
I have had an overheating problem in my Prius. I have taken it to 5 other auto repair shops in the past 6 months, including a Toyota dealer. All 5 times the shops charged me for parts and labor and said "the overheating issue was fixed". None of these 5 failed attempts were successful.
I took the Prius into Kicking Horse Ford. They gave me a nice loaner car while I waited for the part to come in and the repair to be completed. Super convenient for me.
These people at this Service Department (including the mechanics) are very, very busy with repair orders. Stacks and stacks of orders.
They not only completed my repair a week earlier than I thought. But for the first time in 6 months my Prius runs like normal without me worrying the engine is about to blow up! Amazing magic.
The mechanic/technician even took the time in their busy schedule to show me my old water pump to show how it was damaged.
In these times of bleak customer care Kicking Horse Ford’s service Department and mechanics/technicians are exceptional.

Just stopped in from Sherwood Park Alberta to see this small Ford dealership and see that they have the coolest front license plate for their dealership. I went in to ask how much for one because I was impressed with it and they simply without hesitation handed me one. I was fully expecting to pay for one,but they smiled and said "glad you like it and have a great day". Damn,If I could I would have bought the F-150 Platinum off them just for being nice! I’ve owned 3 new vehicles in my life and 2 I’ve bought from this dealership and I cannot recommend them enough! Andy was our sales rep this time and took so much time working with us for weeks to find the perfect truck (even on her days off), and right at the last minute found us an even better truck/deal than we came for! We left with a brand new F150 and could not have been happier with the entire process! Terry made trading in our car super easy and gave us a deal we were super happy with, Robin is a financing guru and had us in and out so quick with the payment plan we were hoping for, and Andy made sure to take great of us and everything else, truck was delivered on time, full of gas, and spotless! Not very impressed with this ford dealership. I took my f150 in to get looked at because it was making a sound kind of like loose change in a cup around the time of braking and shortly after stopping. So I asked to look into the brakes potentially.
They were able to get it in quick to take a look. They said they could only hear the noise once when their technician was out driving. They said he checked my brakes and everything was good with all my brakes so he looked into other things. Said there was an exhaust leak and a ujoint was worn and they think that along with some rusty brake backing plates might be causing the issue.
I picked up the car and immediately heard the ringing again. Not sure how they couldn't hear that. Then I decided to look at my brakes myself and when I took off my rear brakes the parking brake was broken and there was pieces floating around the drum causing the sound I was hearing. With the wheels back I took it for a ride and no more noise.
Pretty upset I had to spend 160 for someone to tell me all my brakes are good when in fact my brakes were causing the issue. Let down that they didn't look Into this because the parking brake wasn't working at all. Also I've noticed that my brakes need to be bled and there is Air in the line and you can feel that when you apply the brake. Not saying this was them that caused this issue. But it would be hard for them to say all the brakes are good if this is happening.
Just really don't think they checked the brakes like I had asked.
Icing on the cake they said they would send a quote to my email with the issues I need fixed.. but that email never came. Not that I would ever go back there

Highly recommend the service department at this location. I dealt with Kristy in service on a time sensitive repair while travelling through. She was very efficient and accommodating. They had the parts ordered in and waiting for when my vehicle arrived on a tow truck, we put the vehicle straight into a bay they had waiting for my truck. The Tech LM did a great job on the repair, and came out to speak to me when it was all done with a few other concerns he found while making the repair. Pricing was fair and overall a great job by all. Thank you
I had lost the door code for my 2019 F150 that I purchased from here. I have since moved away and the dealerships in my city told me I have to go to the original dealership where I purchased my truck to receive my code, and that dealers will keep a record of your code for 10 - 15 years.
When I visited and showed up, they had no record of my key code, even though I purchased my truck 2 years and 2 months ago. But they offered to find out what it was for $79.99
After some googling, it turns out you can just insert both keys into the ignition and it will display the code on the dash.
Seems pretty obvious to me that they had no intention of doing the right thing, and helping a customer out, and just wanted to make a quick buck off of me after I had spent $60k on a truck there.
Not cool.
